The Meadow River Gorge is the northernmost of four canyons under the protection of the National Park Service in southern West Virginia, but unlike its more-famous counterparts, the gorge of the Meadow remains undeveloped and little explored.

For more than 150 years, our family has farmed the pastures north of the gorge, and we like to think we know this wonderland of rock and water  and moss and fern as well as anyone. We invite you to explore this undiscovered country with us on horseback or in conjunction with some of the many outfitters who guide rafting, biking, climbing, and kayaking adventures in the national parkland.
